- Do you give free estimates? I spend
time with you as a customer sharing my expertise. The charge to inspect your chimney and give a
complete evaluation depends on the level of inspection needed, and the time &
service involved in performing this service.
- Are you licensed and insured? Yes, I am and can provide you with the proof of that upon request.
- What kind of wood burns the best? The best answer to that is SEASONED
firewood. A tree that was cut down, split, cut into manageable logs and left out to dry in the elements
for a year or more is truly seasoned.
- Do I have to get my chimney cleaned every year? An annual chimney
inspection is required, and a cleaning may be necessary to perform
that inspection, as noted in the International Residential Codes
Manual and Fire Code Manuals available
through the Chimney Safety Institute of
America.
